char kway teow... char kway teow...
what do you do to brighten up a day?
make CHAR KWAY TEOW! mmm...
yes josh has been sick so to cheer him (and me, the nurse) up, we cooked char kway teow (dont worry... he's been getting better so the char kway teow isnt going to make him worse...)
anyway, we fried up some spring onions, fresh chillis, garlic, lap cheong and prawns, added the kway teow (rehydrated in hot water), added the fish sauce, soy sauce, dark soy sauce and ABC kechap manis, threw in the choy sum and VOILA!
yum yum yum yum yum... much better than my last attempt when Mr J Ting (elder) came to warwick for the Big Band gig... that time we forgot the spring onions and fish sauce, and didnt have fresh chillis but we had fishcake though...
mmmmm... add a dash of lime juice over the top and savour with soy milk! :)
