One Silver Anniversary coming right up!
a very belated post about my parents' silver wedding anniversary but hey! it's valentine's day so 'twas a big reminder for me to do it up before i forget.
so, erm, happy valentine's day mom and dad! :)
our reception table with a table arrangement done by my mom. we laid out the guest book which were mounting boards done up in fancy handmade paper with black-and-white copies of old pictures of the family. our huge glittery sign was great to mark out our reception area since the celebration was held in one of those open concept 'ballrooms'. we even had thank you gifts wrapped in organza and topped off with some sprigs of flowers and a card.
time for a family picture before the event! i think we actually all look pretty alike!
finalizing some last minute logistics with my dad... we are the nit-picky ones in the family... :)
the service started off with some worship led by my parents' friend and accompanied by tricia! she came all the way from KL to attend! *thanks!*my parents renewed their wedding vows after pastor matthews gave a short sermon on marriage and the symbolism of wedding vowsmy dad told a sweet story of how my parents actually saved the top layer of their original wedding cake (which was baked by his late godmother) and deep-freezed it for them to have on their first anniversary. indeed my parents have come a long way from when they got married and had all the church ladies help with the reception by making it a sort of pot-luck because they werent that well off. this time their cake had quite a bit of brandy in it... hehehe... didnt have many food pictures because joyce was busy taking group/table pictures... anyway i didnt get to eat much either... :(me and moon in the reflection on the lamp (hehe...) thanks again for helping!
one final big happy family photo! thanks joyce for doing the photography!
