Postscript on my Sweden Trip
i forgot to mention it, perhaps it was my brain trying to block out the unpleasant experience, but my flight back from Vasteras to Stansted was delayed that Friday. guess why? because there was fog in London that morning and since the first flight was delayed, it affected the rest of the flights for the day. of course that meant that i missed my bus (by 5mins!) back to Coventry but for some strange reason, the guy at the National Express counter didnt charge me for changing my ticket (even though i am quite sure i had the same type of ticket the previous time i had to change bus reservations at Luton airport and was charged 3 pounds).
and a note to the travel-weary, Costa at Stansted is an amazing place to while away an hour because the staff there are so entertaining. seriously! they are just so funny, have so much energy and just look like they are enjoying each other's company. there was this one moment when they had opened a second till and the guy serving was calling out to the people in the queue, "can i help anyone? no?". his colleague then quipped, "can anyone help us?". and as i was sitting near the collection counter, i enjoyed a first-rate side show where the guy preparing the hot drinks was flirting with every woman that he was serving (i found out he's french).
