a sign that i have become old?

went to birmingham to shop today with my mom and somehow i have confirmed suspicions that i am getting old. not just in the physical sense but also in my tastes and actions. i have ceased to be excited about shopping because it bores me looking through clothes that look cute on the hanger but i know wont look great on me and i have stopped impulsive buying - i buy stuff i actually need/will use/have been on my mental list of must-gets for a while. i cant hop from one shop to another - i need an afternoon coffee break. i prefer shopping for food than for clothes and i like sitting in a cafe in the middle of a shopping trip to people watch and just chat. more recently, i have been looking out for businesswear and classic clothes. hmmmm...

even as a traveller i've become like one of those 30-yr-olds you see sitting in a cafe on some boulevard sipping coffee and just soaking in the atmosphere. i dont like uber budget travel and prefer to pay more to be more comfortable than to cram into a dingy hostel room and scrimp on food to save money. i like perusing museums and galleries, and sampling the cuisine of the country than doing self- catering and going to/for activity-based attractions.
