FINALLY! God IS faithful

finished and handed in my essay and i feel so relieved. this has got to be the most last minute ASSESSED essay i have done. finished everything at 11.30am (meaning a few people have read through it) and handed in at 11.45am. now i can finally get down to settling my easter plans proper.

but first, God is so so good. last night i was really really burned out (considering lack of sleep + full day at the theatre yesterday) and at my lowest, i put on my MSN nick "ade is sleepy but the thought of doing it for His glory will get her through" or something like that (changed it the moment i finished...) and suddenly jen and addy messaged me online and were like YA, YOU CAN DO IT! AMEN! it was uplifting. just when i needed encouragement. and at that point i was on the verge of falling asleep ON my com so good thing God sent these people.

Now on to DEJA VU!

IT FELT FANTASTIC TO BE BACK IN A REAL THEATRE! i was counting last night how many shows i have done in a real real theatre and i think last night was number 8. it was super fun and it felt great to get that rush of adrenaline JUST before going on stage. made a few mistakes but good thing i had quick reflexes (thanks to years of experiences making mistakes... hahaha...). In the matinee performance i made an obvious mistake in 42nd street musical and i was in the front row centre! but since we were all supposed to be in character of LOUSY dancers auditioning, i played along and played up the mistake. hahaha... thank goodness the mistake was in 42nd street. but for the evening mistake my choker for Rhythm of the Night started to drop. so i was like praying that it would stay up till the right moment. it did stay up until i moved into the V and i ripped it off and threw it into the wings... apparently my friends in the audience seated near where i was standing on stage didnt really notice (except iain who saw something red thrown into the wings but couldnt figure what it was). people said it was a really good show but i guess a performer is never fully satisfied, right? but important thing was i had fun. and now i am really looking forward to second year because i want to join so many more dances. the waiting around in the dressing room was boring and i'm not used to not having much to do in between stuff...

and it was fun doing stage makeup again! :) used to have SO MUCH FUN doing eye-makeup for sherry, yiqing, amanda, jean (VJ)... esp EYELINER! hahaha... yes the RGS girls will be able to testify to that. i was INFAMOUS! like dance president walking around telling everyone they didnt have enough eye-makeup.

just sent an email to the current tap soc president telling her i was running for VP because she sent out an email asking all who wanted to run to inform her before the elections. i dont think people want to run for big roles. was listening to the dressing room conversations and a few people running for small stuff like social secretary or equal opps. do i have a chance? possibly.but if i dont get it, i'll just go join more dance societies. over the years i have learnt not to dwell on disappointments and get all upset that people dont like me. because sometimes, not getting something is a blessing in disguise.
